NATIONAL HEROES DAY OF PHILIPPINES

NATIONAL HEROES DAY OF PHILIPPINES

The final Monday in August is when this national holiday is observed. On this day, Filipinos honor and venerate the sacrifices made by all men and women who were revolution heroes and helped establish the foundation for their country's freedom.

It is referred to as "Araw ng mga Bayani" in the Philippines, each year, honors the Cry of Pugad Lawin, which was the start of the revolution against the Spanish empire. A revolt that ignited the Philippine Revolution against the Spanish Empire in 1896 and the protracted fight for that nation's independence. On National Heroes' Day, Filipinos honor all known and unidentified people who have made contributions and given their lives in the service of realizing our national identity, justice against tyranny, peace, and independence.

The collective ideas of a nation are typically represented by national heroes, fostering a sense of identity among the populace. National heroes serve as a constant example of what people should strive to be in their own country. One of the most essential characteristics that every nation should possess is the freedom to choose its own country. The Philippines lacked this freedom and sense of identity. But because of individuals like Jose Rizal, Andre Bonifacio, Emilio Aguinaldo, and Apolinario Mabini, they were able to forge a sense of national identity and begin pursuing their goal of independence.

Our nation's heroes provide us with many lessons. Lessons on adversity, sacrifice, struggle, resistance, and overcoming overwhelming odds are abundant in the accounts of their struggles. These trailblazing people led admirable lives, promoted their nation, and risked their lives to do it. Heroes motivate us to improve ourselves emotionally, treat our psychological disorders, and foster interpersonal relationships, they inspire us to become heroes and aid others.  Mabuhay ang Pilipinas.. Mabuhay ang kalayaan ng mga Pilipino,
