May 15, 1974 First Day Covers in commemoratingGabriela Silang for her bravery against the Spaniards. Envelops are attached with a block of four stamps, issued as one of the Famous Filipino Series in the Philippines Postal Stamps.
Her complete name is María Josefa Gabriela Cariño Silang (March 19, 1731 – September 20, 1763), she was the wife of the Ilocano insurgent leader, Diego Silang. Following Diego's assassination in 1763, she led the group for four months.

Pope Paul VI Commemorative Nickel 1 Peso Coin, minted to commemorate the visit of Pope Paul VI to the Philippines 1970. US government administered the affairs in the Philippines from 1903 to 1935 after the Spaniard colonization. The commonwealth formed after 1936 and the former shield design at the back of the coin changed but the front design stayed the same.
