New Jose Rizal one-peso coins the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas minted to commemorate the 150th Birth Anniversary of the country’s national hero have begun circulating through the financial system.


   

The coins are of the same size and weight as the one-peso coin now in circulation —24 millimeters in diameter at 5.35 grams. On the side of Rizal's portrait is etched "150 years" and "1861-2011".

Pope Paul VI Commemorative Nickel 1 Peso Coin, minted to commemorate the visit of Pope Paul VI to the Philippines 1970. For me, this is very rare coin which we can see two "heads" in single coin because one side features Pope Paul VI head and while the other side features President Ferdinand Marcos head.

Bought this item from "Banko Sentral ng Pilipinas", selling price is only Php100.00/pc. Unfortunately, the teller just give me directly this coin without sealed case because of that... we'l...

1944~1945 5 Centavos (US Administration)

US government administered the affairs in the Philippines from 1903 to 1935 after the Spaniard colonization. The commonwealth formed after 1936 and the former shield design at the back of the coin changed but the front design stayed the same.
