The stamp issued through commemorating the proclamation of independence of the Republic of the Philippines under the power of United States of America, July 4 1946. The set is compose of three types; Red, Green & Blue with the value of 2c, 6c, 12c consecutively in singles and 30 pieces per sheet. The stamp shows a Filipina woman with a native dress of our country, a crown of laurel and stand holding a Philippine National Flag, behind her is the different flag of other countries.

The stamp issued during the inauguration of the Third Philippine Republic on July 4, 1946. The stamp therefore not only symbolizes the independence of the Philippines but also heralded her new role in the great family of the nations.

Unfortunately, for the set… I got only one piece as of today. I know that could find easily these items online, but the price is really a jaw dropping for this piece of small paper. But I still keep scouting a best deal can find to complete the set and there’s no need to hurry yet. I’ll update this post after acquiring the other copies. Lastly, I joined auction for the First Day Cover with these stamp last month but lost it. I preferred to let it go to the people with deeper pocket since the last bidding price jumps to Php97.00 while my budget only Php50.00. The sample of the FDC can be seen below, how I wish to own one of this on the future.

Good Bless Kabayan, Happy hunting.
Stamp collecting is also a never ending process.
